Our Colorganic® Sand Jersey is organically USA-grown in New Mexico — on a farm just south of Las Cruces.
This fabric has a visual texture of mottled sand. It's intentionally blended using a technique developed in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland that allows more than one color of fiber to shine through. Ours is a blend of 30% organic brown "coyote" cotton and 70% organic white acala cotton.
This fabric was designed by legendary cotton breeder & farmer, Sally Fox.
This fabric is not pre-shrunk to avoid the toxic chemicals typically involved in pre-shrinking, so you can expect it to shrink about 5%. More than any of our other fabrics. But we built the shrinkage into our designs, so give it a wash & dry, then try it on.
