Windward Sweatshirt Long

Windward is a sailing term for the high side of the boat, where it's most comfortable to sit and stare off into the horizon envisioning dreams like this healthy, grown-in-the-usa sweatshirt design.

I wanted something super basic, like the vintage cycling sweatshirts of Charlie's I've reached for on the days cozy was a requirement.

I also wanted to cut the windchill so I gave it a short mock neck which works wonders and also gives it a little something special.

Cuffs at the wrists and waist keep you warm and the chill out.

We love the undyed for a statement monochrome look with the Studio Pants but we also dyed a limited number with organic indigo at our little natural dye studio in Silver Lake and they are gorgeous. We wanted a vintage look, so you'll see some intentional marbling.

INGREDIENTS: 100% organic cotton undyed french terry grown by a cooperative of farmers in the usa, undyed orgnaic thread; if indigo, a fermented organic indigo vat

PROCESS: Grown in West Texas, spun & knit in North Carolina, sewn at a fair-pay, woman-owned factory in California.

CARE: To get the most life out of your garment and do what is best for the earth, machine wash cold & line dry. Always wash with like colors. Because the only option to pre-shrink our fabric was a toxic chemical wash, we intentionally designed our clothes to shrink a bit the first wash. Full details here.
