Named after the majestic Hida Mountain Range in central Japan, where I dreamed up this design on a snowy winter hot spring trip, these pants are the embodiment of elevated everyday.

Indisputably comfortable, yet classy enough you'll feel dressed up.

Also available in a more structural colorganic french terry.

INGREDIENTS: Organic brown rib knit cotton, GOTS certified organic thread, elastic waistband, natural cotton plastic free-tag

PROCESS: Grown in New Mexico, spun & knit in North Carolina, sewn at a fair-pay, woman-owned factory in San Francisco, California

SIZING: See our sizing guide to choose your best fit. The most important sizing measurement to be aware of choosing your size for the Hida Mountain Pants is the natural waist. The waist should fit snug but comfortably. The legs are intentionally oversized & flowy. If you know you want a tighter fit over the legs, some people have enjoyed sizing down which is possible because the crotch is slightly dropped.

CARE: To get the most life out of your garment and do what is best for the earth, machine wash cold & line dry. Because the only option to pre-shrink our fabric was a toxic chemical wash, we intentionally designed our clothes to shrink a bit the first wash. Full details here. And don't worry - these are durable clothes that are easy to care for!

If you order a naturally dyed piece, it may initially hold the beautiful scent of the plant that was used to dye it. It will also be a tad stiffer than an undyed garment. Both of these features will mellow after the first wash. The color fades very little, but over time, some shift in color is to be expected and part of what makes naturally dyed pieces so special. Learn more about our organic madder root dye on the journal or check out our Natural Dye FAQ.
