This belt, braided and finished into a rope by artist Lily Martine Baxter, is composed of fabric scraps created from sewing the Meadows Pocket Dress. This fabric was intentionally blended using a technique developed in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland that allows more than one color of fiber to shine through. This process gives it a visual depth accentuated with the textures of braiding.

These are made by hand so each is unique and special so yours may look slightly different from the photographs. We're trusting each belt makes it to it's right human.
INGREDIENTS: Colorganic® jersey knit fabric
JOURNEY: Grown in New Mexico, spun & knit in North Carolina, sewn at a fair-pay, woman-owned factory in San Francisco, California
DESIGN: Most of Lily's pieces start with the deconstruction of a garment or home textile, representing a fiber system that is breaking but can be rebuilt into something with strength and endless possibility. Beautifully, this belt begins with construction from an endeavor, Danu Organic, that is building a new paradigm.
SIZING: Each belts length and thickness is determined by the size of the scraps they are made from. The smaller size is 56"-64" and the larger size is 85"-93". Custom sizes are possible. For more info, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
CARE: To get the most life out of your belt and do what is best for the earth, spot clean, or hand wash cold & line dry.
