Sonoma Scoop Neck in organic natural white

Inspired by a love of old thermals and a modern eye, we put a spin on a classic with details like the extra long ribbed cuffs to create a piece that looks as good as it feels.

FAQS

Q: How deep is the scoop neck?

Every body is a bit different, but but for most people the scoop stops just above the bust/chest. It's probably best described through the photos. It will fit both small and large chests about the same due to the stretch of the waffle.

Q: Why don't you give more garment measurements?

This is an incredibly stretchy (albeit plastic free) fabric. It's just the nature of a waffle knit fabric.

Q: Is it see-through?

Not particularly, no. It's a rather thick fabric. You could perhaps see the outline of some bras underneath it, but for a white fabric, there's much less chance of that than most. The texture also disguises

Q: Is this fabric whitened in any way?

Nope! Almost all white cotton is though, even organic white cotton. There's several ways this is typically done. Bleach, which is super toxic. Peroxide - less toxic but still tough on people's skin doing the "whitening" and this uses energy and materials and the more energy/materials, the higher the carbon footprint. Sodium borate mixtures... still toxic.

Q: What do you mean by cooperatively grown?

Our cotton is sourced from the Texas Organic Cotton Marketing Cooperative, a cooperative owned and organized by the farmers who grow the cotton. This empowers them to act collectively with more power, stabilizing the costs and earnings on their organic cotton which is a commodity crop. They're also GOTS certified, which contrary to what is popularly thought, does not mean organic at all. GOTS does however ensure all labor is aboveboard and that certain toxic substances are not used.

Q: Are you going to make this shirt in colors?

We don't know! We've tried to answer this question in the past which turned out to be promises we couldn't keep. You can learn more about that here. But essentially, we've decided it's best to defer questions like this so we don't make promises we can't keep and just focus on creating. When we're able and ready to release a color, we will! Once we're a large company it may get easier to let you know about future launches but right now, it's very tricky!

Q: Will there be more styles available in waffle?

We hope so! Should there be? We'll take note of how much you love the scoop neck (your purchases let us know, but also your reviews so leave a review on the product page if you love your waffle and want more styles). But internally at Danu, we love this fabric A LOT so we really hope you agree and we can make more waffle styles!

Hi Andrea! I think that would be equivalent to a US XS which is a size TWO at Danu Organic :)

Hi, unfortunately I don’t know which size would fit me. How do I convert tryout sizes to our European sizes? Mine would be 36…regards, Andrea
